Willing Workers

Why: We serve in this way to follow the example of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose
actions were motivated by genuine compansion that drew people into a trusting
relationship with Him, resulting in salvation, freedom, and the advancement of His
kingdom.
We Know that He continues to work in the same way and empowers us with
His infinite love to continue drawing people to Himself.

Who: Meals are served to anybody who shows up.  Some have homes; some have
jobs; all have hard lives.  Some know Christ as Lord and Savior, and he loves and
misses the rest.

Where: Salvation Army Soup Kitchen at 22 St. Casimir Drive in Meriden.
Off East Main Street near the bottom of the hill where Pratt St. intersects.

When: Second Saturday of each month, 10:00 am to about 1:30/2:00 pm

What: We prepare and serve the noon meal, also coffee beforehand and donated
bread and pastries.
Before the meal there is a brief time of sharing the Word, testifying,
encouraging, and generally speaking of God's love and forgiveness in the
person of His Son, Jesus Christ.

You are invited to come and serve!
We appreciate long term committments, but we are also asking for anyone to
show up, even once or twice, regardless of plans to continue in this ministry in the
future.
A sign up sheet is available at the Willing Workers table with provision for
checking selected dates in the next few months.
